Rental Terms – Alinda Rent A Car

Driving licence: The driver’s licence must have been issued at least 12 months prior to the rental date.

Method of payment: A credit card in the name of the renter/main driver is required for all rentals as a guarantee, even if the renter ultimately pays in cash.

Renter’s age: The renter and the driver must be at least 21 years old on the vehicle pick-up date.

Traffic violations: The renter assumes full responsibility for any traffic violations and must pay the corresponding fines.

Late arrival: In case of delay, Alinda Rent A Car guarantees the availability of the vehicle for a maximum of 2 hours after the scheduled pick-up time stated in the reservation. After this period, the reserved vehicle may be released to another customer. Alinda Rent A Car recommends that the renter provides the flight number when making the car reservation. If the flight or ferry schedule is delayed, Alinda Rent A Car will monitor all scheduled arrivals.

Mileage & Charges: All car rentals include unlimited mileage.

Insurance

Full insurance: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / own damage cover is included.

Third-party coverage, also known as:
Motor Third-Party Liability Insurance / Civil Liability Insurance.

What is covered?

Coverage for third parties in the event of death or bodily injury, including passengers (excluding the driver of the Alinda Rent A Car vehicle), during the use of the vehicle, up to the legal limits per person per accident, as well as material damage to third parties up to the legal limits per accident.

What is not covered?

• Theft or attempted theft of the vehicle
• Theft of personal belongings from the vehicle
• Death or injury of the driver
• Damage to the rented vehicle

The cost is included in the rental price.

Car Rental Products and Services

Additional driver:
No extra charge for each additional driver, provided this is declared at the time of vehicle pick-up.

Child seats:
Child seats are available upon request at the time of booking.

Incident administration fee:
In the event of an accident or traffic fine, a non-refundable administration fee of €100 (excluding VAT) will be charged to cover administrative expenses, regardless of the renter’s liability.

Fuel Policy

The customer must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at the time of collection.

Renter’s Obligations

The renter is obliged:

• To supply the vehicle with the appropriate fuel and is responsible for any damage caused by incorrect fuelling.
• To comply with traffic laws and regulations.
• To take proper care of the vehicle during the rental period.
• To use the vehicle according to its intended use.
• Not to rent out or transfer the vehicle to third parties.
• To immediately inform Alinda Rent A Car in case of a road accident, vehicle damage or any other issue.

CANCELLATION TERMS

If the reservation is cancelled up to 21 days before the pick-up date, the customer has no obligation and the deposit will be refunded in full (100%).

In case of cancellation within 21 days prior to the pick-up date, the prepayment will be retained as a penalty, and Alinda Rent A Car will issue a cancellation invoice; no refund will be possible.

If the customer does not cancel and fails to appear on the pick-up date, Alinda Rent A Car has the right to charge the full reservation amount as a non-refundable fee.
